Do I have to be in great shape to come to an Spin class?
No. Almost anyone can benefit from a Spin class. It is a low impact workout that allows you to go at your own pace by controlling the resistance on your bike. You will be encouraged to push yourself, but are always in control of your own workout. Indoor spin classes are a great way to get fit, and stay fit. Not un-common to burn 600-800 calories in a 45 min session. If you are concerned about taking a class due to a physical condition, consult your physician before taking a class for the first time.
What should I wear / bring?
We recommend comfortable workout attire. Loose fitting long pants are not recommended as they could get caught in the pedals. Think crops or shorts and a tank top or Tee. Bring a water bottle – you’ll need it and it’s important to stay hydrated before / during / and after your workout. If you forget to bring one, we have water bottles for sale. Towels will be provided for your convenience.
Central Cycling’s bikes are Stages SC2 and have both clip in pedals, as well as cages for regular tennis shoes. At this time we do NOT rent shoes.
